Funeral Pre Payment Plans
Choosing a pre-paid funeral plan through your local funeral director not only makes financial sense, but ensures your funeral wishes are known, reducing the pressure on loved ones to ‘get things right’ at what can be an extremely difficult time.
A pre-paid funeral plan can give you the freedom to get on and enjoy life, with the peace of mind that your funeral arrangements are taken care of. Here are some of the benefits of taking out a funeral plan with your local funeral director.
No medical or health questions to answer
UK residents aged 18 or over can take out a funeral plan. For instalment plans, the final instalment must be paid before your 85th birthday.
Fix your funeral director's costs
Our plans cover your selected funeral director’s costs as long as your requirements don’t change and the original firm carries out your funeral. You can also include a contribution towards third party costs such as cremation and officiant’s fees. These costs are outside of the funeral director’s control. If these costs, as listed in the plan details, are not covered by the plan value at the time of need there will be a balance to pay. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions for more information.
Fully transferable
If you move, you should be able to transfer your plan to a funeral director near your new home. There may be more to pay depending on local prices and you will be advised of this at the time. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions for more information.
Pay in full or by instalments
With one of our pre-paid funeral plans, you have the option make a single payment, pay by monthly instalments or a combination of both. Please refer to the Instalment Q&A and the Terms and Conditions for more information. Eligibility criteria applies and there's an additional cost for paying over two or more years. Your funeral director will be able to provide you with a personalised quote.
When you choose one of our pre-paid funeral plans, you benefit from your funeral director’s expertise and knowledge of the local area. That’s because our plans are designed with input from funeral directors themselves, based on the services and arrangements that are most commonly requested. Plans offered by our Appointed Representatives can also be personalised to suit your requirements.
Your money is ring-fenced
The money you pay (excluding the initial administration fee and any payments to insure instalment plans of two or more years) is held in a whole of life assurance policy and ring-fenced for your funeral when the time comes. Learn more about our unique financial promise.
Recognised by the National Association of Funeral Directors
We are proudly recognised by the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) for treating customers and funeral directors fairly. The NAFD is a UK funeral trade association and its members are required to comply with a its Code of Practice.

Everyone’s funeral requirements are different and the flexibility of plans via our Appointed Representatives ensures that your wishes, no matter how unique, can be accommodated. Once fully paid, you can make changes to your plan at any time, although there may be more to pay if you add extra services and features.
